Greetings!
I’m Tyese Wortham.
For the past 20 plus years I've committed my life work to cultivating safe, inclusive spaces for black and brown folks to thrive.
As a lifelong dancer, I nearly lost this vital part of myself during a chronic illness journey that began with a tick bite. After 25 years, I finally learned I had been living with Lyme disease. Drawing on more than two decades of equity work in the arts, I now shine a light on Lyme and other multi-systemic chronic illnesses in queer, trans, and BIPOC communities.
My approach weaves cultural movement traditions as medicine, community connections as care, and joyful practices as healing. By blending folkloric, spiritual, and performative traditions of the African diaspora with integrative and functional healing techniques, I created Thriving With Lyme—an alternative pathway to health that helped me reclaim my power and agency, and now support others in doing the same.

What clients are saying…
Jetta Martin, East Bay, CA
“My level of exhaustion is so high. It’s been years of being really, really tired. [And during] your workshop, I realized that I need a reset or a reboot. It can be a gentle refresh for the things that you can’t see or don’t notice about yourself or your body. It was a very profound shift and I appreciated how gentle and held I felt.”
Beatrice Thomas, Vallejo, CA
“When I don’t have this, I have more anxiety, pain, increased muscle tension. When I first started doing it, I was tired on Saturdays after class, but then I felt great and the next two days I had more energy.”
